4-6 June 2015, Mytilene/Lesvos
The Center of Island and Mediterranean Culture – “MESONISOS” organized the 2nd INTERNATIONAL GEOPOLITICAL SYMPOSIUM “SIGRI” in collaboration with members of the Scientific Community of the Department of Geology-Geo-Environment of the University of Athens, the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean and the Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest. The Symposium took take place from 4 to 6 June 2015, in the city of Mytilene (Lesvos Island).
The themes of the Symposium were interdisciplinary (Geology, Geography, Geography, Archaeology-History). Speakers will be famous professors – geographers-geologists, volcanologists, archaeologists-historians. The Symposium started on June 4, at the Municipal Theater (3 P. Kountouriotou 3, Mytilene) and continued the next day, June 5, at the amphitheater of the University of the Aegean (81100 University Hill, Mytilene). On June 6, there was organized an excursion – tour to the Petrified Forest and lectures at the amphitheater of the Natural History Museum in the Petrified Forest.
